HISTORY
The South Central Michigan Bass Casters began as a five person bass club in Jackson, MI back in 1973. It has since grown to over 30 members which makes it one of the largest clubs in the state. We are affiliated with the Federation Nation and follow the same format as the Bassmaster Elite Series. The club is very active in the community by donating to charities, running a junior fishing program and sponsoring the James E. Rice scholarship program.
The 2010 season kicks off May 2nd on Baw Beese and will begin a 10 event schedule that will visit various lakes throughout the state. The member with the most weight accumulated at the end of the season will be crowned "Angler Of The Year" with the top ten weights earning invitations to the "Classic". The season then culminates with a year end awards banquet in November. It looks to be another spectacular season with what we consider to be the best bass club in the state.
